Looking at doin a sas swap on my F250.I have a 4:10 geared KP 60 to go in it and I'm kicking around the ideal of putting a lunchbox locker in it.Truck is diesel and nose heavy, bad. My garage is up hill from the driveway w no good place to turn around w a trailer.I would like a little somethin under there to help out when backing a trailer to the garage.Truck is all stock w 235/85/16's and Im gonna stay close to that size, although I'd be tempted by a set 34/9 swampers. So whats the peoples choice,Spartan or Lok right or am I overlooking something???Yeah A Detroit would be nice but @ $700 its more $$$ than I'm willing to spend for what I'm doin w it. @Jody Treadway maybe???

Having had both, I would go with the spartan. It was slightly easier to install, and a little cheaper.

Might not be able to steer without some hydro assist...just keep that in mind.

I’ve had both and much prefer the Spartan. Easier install, and quieter. I’ve really beat on a few Spartan lockers.

Turning shouldnt be that bad maneuvering around off pavement I would think.

I’ll just unlock a hub.

I never thought it would make as much difference as it does...two of my trucks have Lock Rights in the front...after installing one in my 99 Silverado, I dropped it in 4 low and it was hell to steer, but is also on 37s. It probably won't be all that bad on a smaller tire.

I haven't had any issues with the Lock Rights. At the time I bought them, I'm not sure they were making the Spartans yet. The Lock Rights were 320 or 340 at the time and have probably increased in price by now. If my 2500HD gets a front locker, it'll probably be a Spartan. I'd guess you really can't go wrong either way.

I'm sure you'll be doing some hardcore wheelin with this rig, huh? :D @1-tonmudder
