Got a speeding/improper equipment ticket last week. 60 in a 45. My Montero has 33/12.50 TSL's on it which actually measure out to 34" tall so my speedometer's off quite a bit. Are there any shops in or around Hickory that recalibrate speedometer's? I'm needing it done soon and how much am I looking to spend to have it done? Thanks!

nobody... sloopes was the only one and he died... dosent matter i tried that to get out of a ticket and it didnt work.. call david moose. i think its about $250 and he will get it droped.

Sounds good man, thanks! I still need to get up to Rides and have you trim the fenders on this thing. It'll have to be after I get this paid off though.

It's been 4+ years - but I went to a place that was just barely in Yadkin county off of 421 that did a calibration for me on my wife's Saturn ;-). Sorry, can't recall the name.

Note - nobody actually "calibrates" (e.g. changes) anything, they just have a sheet that shows how much it is off at various speeds.
only some countis actually take thsi as a way out of a speeding ticket, though.

On my Jeeps...I just use the GPS...you can set the display to show relatively big digits for speed.

My Garmin GPS actually has a speedo screen on it.

X4 gps. Swaps in any car, good for jeeps if you already have one and don't want to pay 75+ for a plastic gear thing (for jeeps, don't know what your truck takes) or 100+ for box that wires in kinda thing. My .03
