Looking to see if there is any place local to buy spicer 5-760
u-joints in the Winston-Greesboro area?

I can't remember the name of it, something like Truck parts direct or drivetrain plus, at the Sandy Ridge Rd exit off I40. Its the old Northern tool building across Sandy Ridge from Citgo, and across the highway from the new Northern. Thats where I got my 760s, and a free girly calendar :huggy:
 
I can't remember the name of the place, but they are located at the corner of Sandy Ridge Rd and I-40 across the road from a Citgo I think it is. South side of I-40, East side of Sandy Ridge.

Fleetpride on Boeing Dr should also have them.

Last time I went to Fleetpride they were only carrying Neapco. There is another place that is about a block or so west of Fleetpride that has Spicer for a little less than Fleetpride. I dunno why Fleetpride doesn't have them anymore. They told me they were selling out their Spicer inventory and not restocking them. :shaking:
 
I think Olivers driveshaft in winston also stocks spicer parts.

Dang, I didn't know that. How recent was this? Last time I was there was about a year ago when I got my driveshaft lengthened. Is the other place you are talking about on Boeing Dr also? I saw a sign out front of a building that said they rebuild driveshafts or something like that. Didn't get the name though.

About a month and a half ago. And yes, the other place is on Boeing Dr. They have a Spicer sign out front. Nice folks and decent prices.
 
well i dunno bout the one out there... but i was in Fleetpride in Hickory last week and ordered bout 4 spicer joints as well as some driveshaft pieces.... it all depends on who you talk to at Fleetpride and when ya go in, mos tthem wont help you unless you have an account with them
 
They may have been clearing em out for year end inventory. They guys at the one in Greensboro have been pretty friendly to me and I had been buying there for a couple years.
 
Oliver's would be the best place to check. First Liberty Street exit off 52 north from Winston. Hook a left and its about a 1/4 on your right past the AF building.

Hutch, you might not remember me but I came to Tellico with Dave. The S10 is finished now (well never finished but...). Have any plans to go back soon?
 
I just talked to my rep Glen at Fleetpride and he said they still carry spicer parts.
