As I've gotten older I've realized that graffiti and "tags" are really starting to annoy me. They are a burden on the tax payer cleanup dime and are an eye sore for every town.

So is a solution to create a system like gun permits where everyone who buys paint has to be put in the system so that if that paint code shows up on graffiti, then you will be questioned? Or do you think that is overstepping boundaries?

my truck uses a lot of spray paint I tend to rub it off on rocks and trees it would be very annoying to have to register to buy it all the time and im sure it would drive the cost up

You mean like having to wait at the pharmacy and show your ID to buy cold medicine because of meth heads? Because that totally stopped the law breakers from breaking the law, too.

I think that is the dumbest shit I've heard in weeks. And I read yahoo news.

:edit: And you clearly don't know how buying a firearm works either.

Make prisoners clean the grafitti...it'll sting alot more if they're cleaning their own tags. Kinda like your mom doing your laundry and dishes, when you reach that age to do it yourself...you seem to be more frugal.

I will say though...some of that stuff is amazing, how they do it with a rattlecan I'll never know.

What I find more interesting is the size of some of them and the amount of time it must of took, and nobody saw or did anything about it at the time. Working For the RR I see all kinds some that cover the entire side of rail cars. Some of them are art work, Some of them are just dicks, literally....

Wait, I thought you already had to do have photo ID to purchase spray paint. Maybe it's just a Walmart thing.

Only if you look 12... LOL just kidding. I'm at that age where they don't card me for liquor or anything. I guess I look like I NEED the alcohol so they don't want to slow down the process.

I buy a lot of spray paint at Walmart. I have never been asked for I.D. I didn't think they did that.

Somewhere did. Maybe it was just the sketchy walmart near where I used to live. No joke, the prices at Walmart on Hwy 16 in Charlotte were 10-12% higher than the one in Belmont. I figure it's to account for merchandise loss.

You are correct about the price difference for sure. I.D. makes since to keep thug kids from buying paint.

They do the ID thing at Home Depot, although I think it may be for spray primor? Can't remember but I've had to do it.

@EdJonesJeeper, no BS, when I bought the paint to paint the Ranger (12 cans of blue and 4 primers) at TSC, they "carded" me. I asked why and it was because of people abusing spray paint to get high. So a registration system might not be too far fetched!
