Sputtering?

I have a Jeep Wrangler YJ with the 4.0. Every now and then while driving it will start to sputter like it's not getting enough fuel. About a month or so ago I almost ran out of gas, and I've been thinking that my fuel pump or injectors might have some trash in them. This morning when I was leaving the house, I started it up and it sputtered a little bit. I put it in Reverse and it kinda bogged so I put it back in Park and revved it to about 4k rpms. put it back in reverse and it seemed to run smoothly again. On the way to work it sounded like it was sputtering a little bit again (slight popping sound). Do you guys think if I ran some Sea-Foam or something it'd help out? I ran sea-foam a couple of times already, but it was before I almost ran out of gas. anyone run into issues like this before?

Thanks,

do you have any check engine lights on.....if it were an o2 sensor, i would think a light would be on. if not, when was the last time you changed your fuel filter?

if you recently replaced the fuel filter, i would try cleaning the throttle body next.....i had some similar problems....and just had to give the TB a good cleaning, cheap (free) and easy

let us know
