Me and a buddy are fabing up a longarm for our xj's my question is currently we have square tubing we are using for the mock up. When we go to actually build it should I use round DOM tubing or will the square be ok, everyone I see is round, I was wondering what the pros and cons are?

Clayton Offroad makes their kits with square tube. There aren't too many differences between the two, just as long as you have a sufficient wall thickness. Round tube deflects things a bit better, but square tube is (arguably) just as strong.

I seem to remember round tube being stronger size for size. Not 100% sure though.

Diameter and wall thickness the same, round is stronger in torque loading (driveshafts/axleshafts/etc), square is stronger in bending/deflection. Round is easier to get weld bungs for and to thread.
