quick dumb question....i have a cucv dana 60(chevy) after the tear down i noticed each side had a different slot number on the wheel bearing lock nuts.....one side had 6 slots with a bend over tab style lock and the other side had a 4 slot with a pin style lock....i saw where billavista says the part numbers are actually the same....so my question is should i not worry about it or should i put both matching.....is one better than the other 6 slot or 4 slot.....thanks fellas

I have 4 slot on mine. Didn't know there was another style. Just for comparison: My 60 was originally a dually. Wonder if there's the difference?

I prefer the 4-slots myself. I always torque the outer lock nut and I've never had a problem. I don't care for the bend tab style because, eventually, the tabs will break off.

I'd make them the same on each side if it were me. I'm OCD, but still...it would just make sense for them to be the same.
