Have a solid idea of what we want. But a couple builders obviously what something drawn up. Pretty simple build.

A lot of those house plan places will modify the plans for a little more money.
The fine print on those plan house sites is that they don't include framing/structural and very likely can't be used to get a permit. Especially since the OP wants to make significant changes to the version he kinda likes, my suggestion is to not bother purchasing plans that will have to be completely redone. I recommend definitely find someone who can draw and plan out framing to meet requirements for a construction/permit set. This may also require the assistance of a structural engineer for the longer spans and/or a truss manufacturer. Familiarity with local building planning/permitting is a plus but not necessarily required. Familiarity with the NC Residential Building Code is a must.

Sorry, I don't know of anyone to recommend right now.

Yep as mentioned, @CasterTroy .

He is very reasonably priced, he is working on plans for our house now and he ONLY wanted the nicest military truck I have as trade. Might just give him my left nut instead of a truck though.

Seems like a fair trade, since I'm sure you got it right when you bought it at the auction :p

I get them cheap, but not THAT cheap. Even a PARTS truck is still $3-4k+.
You'll wish you traded a military truck by the time he's done. Have you seen the "barn" he built?
