steering box brace

many years ago i remember working on a cj that had a steering brace that had a bearing on the sector shaft with a bolt threaded into the shaft does anyone know what im talking about? i have not seen another one since then, id like to do something like that because i can see that it would be much less stress on the box. id think that it would not be easy trying to drill the shaft.

no it had a bolt going up into the sector shaft with a bearing. its purpose was to support the box by the shaft and keep the shaft from having a side load.
