steering box relocation

On my yj I redid the front suspension and moved the front axle about 6" forward from stock. Right now I am trying to figure out the best plan of attack for moving the steering box forward also. I have a chevy astro box, but it moves the steering way to far forward, so it is out of the question unless I was to use it and move the box back on the frame.
Regardless of which box I use I will still have to figure out how to do the mount. I have thought of using Cj relocation bracket and modifying it to fit my yj. Anyone done this, have any other ideas for moving the box? Pictures?

This steering box will fit anywhere, even inside the cab.

Poison spyder (I think..) makes a 1.25" spacer-kind of new mount, and 2" is as far as you can go in the stock location... so that'd give you the equivalent of 3.25" of push, but not enough to make it 6". I know it doesn't help any, haha. Your YJ sounds badass though, I should be building one of my own here pretty soon.

Could you not redrill the frame 6 inches forward of the stock location using the stock bracket as a template? I know the bottom 2 holes would be a pita since they have nuts welded inside the frame. Might have to holesaw out a bigger hole somewhere to get the nuts and a wrench in there.

Post up a pic and I'll bet you'll get more ideas offered up. I'd just make a new one out of 1/2" plate and weld it or bolt it to your frame extension? I guess you're on leaf springs? Pics?
