On my first XJ I ran one of these

along with this
http://www.c-rok.com/sb.html(both inner and outer plates)

On my other XJ's I've just made my own Rusty's style brace with a short piece of angle, section of 1" .125 wall tube and a muffler clamp. Then I plated the frame back to the coils.

This is a major known issue with XJ's. Most decent aftermarket bumpers also have mounts that extend a good ways back doubling as a frame strengthing kit.

Brace would have been great before it cracked, now you need to have somebody experienced in unibody repair tack that and probably box it with plate and redrill mounting holes.

It's pretty easy. Just use cardboard for a template. Like they said make sure you have tube to keep it form crushing. I'd also weld up that unibody. It's no different than any frame, unibody repair is just metal. Drill holes to keep the cracks from spreading. Grind it to get all the zink coating off.

I got the links thanks was just wanting to see if anyone local made them to try to keep the money local and help someone on the forumn if they made the kits

I've seen both first hand. I've got a cherokee ready for the shop with the same issue. I plan on repair welding the area and plating it. I'm also going to mount some of my bumpers on it that make that outer plate kit look silly. My bumpers run cnc cut 3/8 brackets. I can provide other thickness if desired. As for the cross over brace its fair but suffers from the clamp loosening at the bolt and the material itself. It simply isn't beefy enough and the bolt is too small for the work load its trying to do over the long run. I've seen first hand both issues cause failure on Loki's Jeep when it was in the shop. Properly welded and plated both sides to distribute the load is how I'd go about the repair. PM me if I can help.
