steering tube size

going to be redoing my steering. going with tube inserts and DOM. i'm going to be using 3/4-16 heims. ive got my inserts turned down to 1" od to fit 1" id dom.

is 1.25 od strong enough ?

As long as the rod will not be in harms way of being hit the strength of the .120 wall should be fine...25 wall would be better but...... just remember to rossette weld the bungs. The only problem i have seen with 120 wall steering is full hydro actually pulling it apart at the tabs welded to the 120 wall for heim joint on ram... So if it is bungs only you should not have a problem.. thanks PJ
