In the process of my newest transformation of my Heep I decided to upgrade to a different steering column. I got a column out of a 93 wrangler. with tilt steering! All the plug ins were the same as an 85 CJ. Had I not already done a lot of snip snip here and there, I would have had wiper delay and control on it too! Everything is a direct bolt up except the end of the column where the shaft bolts to. It was same diameter but not splined. It does have the indent in it for the bolt though. If it starts to slip I will just tack it in and be done with it. Thought others might enjoy a newer, tighter steering column with some frills to boot.
Now, if I can just get over it having a Chrysler key!
