Took my 2-week old JK (First Jeep ever) out to some trails at Stewart Farms today, and I was very impressed at how well it did.
The street tires suck, but it did almost everything I asked of it and I didn't get it stuck. Ok, I wimped out and took the easy lines whenever possible, but considering it is a bone stock X, I was happy that I didn't have to get rescued!
There were some serious trail rigs there and a lot of really great folks. Only one accident... a roll-over on the rock wall, but no one got hurt and the excellent cage prevented any structural damage to the Jeep.
Lots of pics coming...

A little mud-flinging action. The mud was as slippery as ice today!

My pleasure! I wish I could have spent more time on the other parts of the trail getting shots.

Next time I come out, I want to ride with some other people and get more spots on the course.

Here are the directions I got:

9am until dark

6815 Hudspeth Rd
Harrisburg, NC 28075
If your are coming from Charlotte on 29/N Tryon you will come towards the speedway. Right before you get to the light at Moorehead rd at the speedway there is a shell station on your right. Turn right on hudspeth rd at the shell station go to the first hard left curve and there is a white sign that says RV sites on the right in that curve. Turn into that driveway and go all the way to the end. You will see the gate at the end thats where you go in to wheel. Its 10 dollars per vehicle to wheel all day.

We're open every weekend rain or shine. We open the gates at around nine and go till everyone leaves or dark, whichever comes first. I'm actually headed out there right now for a little just to see how many people showed up today. We had a great turn out yesterday. The man to call if you have Questions is Andy Stewart at (704)773-2728.

I noticed your a member of 4x4 grace. Your welcome to post up about Stewart Farm over there to draw in some more people we would love to have all the advertising we can get. Thanks

Great pics Preacher! Thanks for showing my actual successful recovery of the cherokee, and not what put it on it's side in the first place.
By the way, love this pic..you've got talent...

how many trails/miles of trails do the have? Cab you do them all in one day?
I'm not sure of the mileage, but you can do them all rather quickly. It's not a huge place, but it doesn't mean it's not fun out there, either. I spent yesterday morning wheeling for about 2-3 hours, just going through things multiple times, different directions, lines, ect... Other than the steep rocky hillclimb and the mud hole, a stocker can do just about everything out there. When it's wet, you'll spend a lot of time on the gas pedal.

Well looks like cake walk and the Judge Just got harder, Miles could not resist moving a few rocks around and adding a few more we found today and the best part is no one has ran it yeat. So after the race is over on the 14th we will have a few new challanges.
