The new website. I cant be the only one? Is there a way to make it go back?

Not a big fan myself, but Im slowly getting used to it. Slowly. And its not so much that its bad, it's just different.

I don't mind how it works and everything, but for some reason I feel like I'm on an NC4X4 version of Facebook.

We do have one of those. This software has more stuff integrated into it... which is probably the "facebook" feeling you get.

From a long-time user and moderator's perspective (and not because I'm married to the guy who spent a year putting this new version together)...

I LOOOOVE not having to go back and forth between the inbox and sentbox to find something in a PM...

I like that it is faster and that it doesn't have to reload the whole page when you post or edit a post...

I like the way it handles 'reported posts' for moderators, we can make notes and not have to send each other PMs and 3 different kinds of smoke signals to figure out who's taking care of something...

I like that it is easier to post youtube videos and photos...

I like that it automatically takes you to the first unread post in a thread and that it's spaced out enough at the top not to hit a drop down menu when trying to go back to the forum pages. I deal with some of the worst software updates in the world on a daily basis at work (I fix BMW's) so I guess I'm immune to the little stuff that doesn't work right off the bat. At work BMW will send us software that hasn't even been tested for us to put in a customers car. (No wonder it kills $2500 control units on a daily basis.) So I'm happy with it. Haven't really run into anything negative that I absolutely don't like the way it works.

I love it! Posting pics is faster and you tibe videos are a breeze now that you can just paste the adress right into you post and not worry about half th eadress in those stupid brackets.

I still haven't figured out how to do a quick reply quote of a previous post. Probably user error lol. Overall I like it.

click on the 'reply' within that post, on the far right. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------v

I think I'm more or less used to it. One thing I don't like is trying to multiquote. You click the first REPLY post to start multiquoting, and it bounces you down to the bottom, then you have to scroll up to find the REPLY on the second post to quote. Maybe there's a better way?

I can't tell the difference except now I have a "conversation" instead of pming someone

I don't feel like the search works as well. I can't put my finger on it, just seems like I'm not getting results like I used to. But I could be crazy.

I like it more than the old. The alerts are really nice along with the new quick reply setup.

For teh record, I like it as much as the old format, just alot of little things that are different. The multiquote thing is kinda annoying though.

I like it...and now that I know how to multiquote, that eliminates one of my two complaints. The other, I'm sure has been covered, I just haven't had time to search...is a couple times a day having to mark all threads to clear up several pages of 'clutter'. I have 39 pages of new posts when I logged on, rifled through the first couple of pages to see what was going on, and then marked all as read.

Who moved my cheese?

Change is inevitable, change with it or get the F^ck out of the way. I grow tired of these whiny threads.. I guess I'll have to stop clicking on them :)

Are you on a phone?
Negative sir. It may be may dated computer? I don't keep up with this technology stuff much. I still trip over wires and just got a smartphone last wk, I couldn't get on the net with it if my life depended on it:D Damn touch screen & my fat fangers make me wanna throw somethin......

just can't stand the different user interface, it's obvious that the updates are good for performance, but the general feel I get is that it's made for a phone.

^^^ This... Who Moved My Cheese is a great book and yes, change is inevitable. It took a little a time to adjust but not a lot of time. I like the new format.
