I know we’ve all been hit at some point in our lives, and probably lost some hard earned items that you WORKED for and PAID for with your money.

My wife left her car unlocked last night and some lowlife piece of crap decided to help himself to our belongings. Worst part is he stole my/her concealed pistol from the console. A little Taurus .380. Thank goodness it didn’t rain since he so kindly left the doors open as well. About 10 other people got hit in the area as well. I hope whoever took it is playing with that pistol and kill them selves as to not produce more future thieves. They also hit my nephews truck. Stole F’ing quarters and scented tree air fresheners. I hope they buy something with those quarters, choke, and die.

Done bitching for the moment. Thanks for listening NC4x4.

*knock on wood* I've been ridiculously lucky in my area as of now. Theives are scared to walk into my yard appearantly. If not, I'll give them plenty of reasons to be.
The industrial area where I work has had thousands of dollars worth of stuff stolen even in broad daylight, from car trailers to bikes to car batteries.

We’ve had plenty stolen, change, a laptop, countless BMX bikes from my brother, my brothers 2015 XK450 dirtbike, and my beloved 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I hope that jeep went into a death wobble and killed the lowlife s*it who stole it. It’s been gone for about 3 months. Now, just the other night, out stuff has been gone through yet again. Scum. Scum I say.

Knock on wood, our home has never been hit.

In college I guess I left a door unlocked in my beater Honda. They rifled through the console and glove compartment, threw gas receipts, old registrations etc. everywhere. Only thing they got was a $10 pair of Walmart sunglasses and a bottle of cologne I had probably had since early high school. Didn't pop the trunk and find my 250pc tool set luckily.

Also in college, had a townhome, but all 4 roommates were home for the summer, except one roommate's girlfriend was living in his room for the summer. They entered through my bedroom window, went through my things, but a neighbor saw him go in, called the cops, and they caught him in the act. She was still asleep upstairs when the cops came.

Also had a styrofoam immunization/vaccine cooler stolen from the back of my truck at a college football game. Might have had one or two beers left in it. It was a shame, it was built heavier than standard styrofoam coolers, think the "YETI" of styrofoam.

Did have our mail stolen on at least two occasions. Both times the thief stole very expensive, boutique children's clothes from the mailbox. (My kids model clothing for a popular boutique clothing store ahead of the release for the website and social media). Thief probably had no idea what they had, and threw it out. Just saw packages and took them. Now we just have all our packages held at the post office, or ship everything UPS. They also got a windshield sun shade I had ordered from Amazon that had the "Disney Cars" eyeballs for the windshield for $9. :kaioken:

I had some guys try to break into my current project house when my crews pulled up and scared them off. They didn’t get anything as they didn’t get in, but they did damage the front door where I now need to replace it. Ugh!

my moms house got hit hard....totally ransacked the interior and stole thousands in jewelry. Was the only thing pops ever bought as gifts. Never understood that mess. They also took a vintage 35 mm camera purchased in Vietnam in the PX by my dad. I was more pissed about my moms loss of comfort (being alone) and my dads camera.

Thieves rank up their with violent offenders........I'm all for stupid stiff repercussions. I honestly don't know what I'd do catching someone in the act. Lot's of pent up hostility on this subject.

My parents' old house has been robbed a couple times, once when I was a teenager. Somebody broke into the garage while we were there and asleep. My brother heard something but old house and lots of noises so he didnt think anything of it.

The garage was not organized, so we didn't realize what all was missing until we went looking for it. Wheres the weedeater? Gone. I need that old 1/2" drill that will rip your arm off, shit its gone. Torque wrench? Nope.

My house was robbed by the helper of a contractor while it was being built, but of course couldn't prove it. They got a chop saw, air compressor, and a couple other little things.

All I would say is I feared for my life when the cops showed up after they were shot.

A few years back when I was living in Hawaii I was working on my ‘69 Plymouth and left the garage open overnight (cause she was a yacht!) they came in and took all sorts of stupid shit but left expensive shit right next to it.

Another knock on wood...at the house(s) nothing I can remember...but my family has been known to sit on roofs all night with night vision any time an outbreak of thefts happens. And truth be told, some of the youth that have gotten in to crime will come back after they serve their time and say 'you were safe, I remembered when you coached me'...or 'I remember when your mom was class mom'...so we've been lucky. That said, was a time when the lawn business had a few rental accounts in a seedy area and you couldn't go back to the truck without missing a weed eater/leaf blower or two. Only other time was in a Walmart parking lot, caught the dude trying to break in to my truck. I had my mom and sister, he drew a knife, I broke his jaw and a couple ribs and I got a shiny pair of bracelets about 15 mins later. It was all cleared up within a couple hours.

Too bad they all can’t end that way.

I hate a thief.

But, just wondering as I see this happen all the time and have it happen to some good friends.....but why do people leave their guns in their cars overnight? It isn't hard to bring them inside. My gun would be the LAST thing I want stolen from my car, and if you leave it in there it is pretty much guaranteed to get stolen if broken in to.

If anybody has a cheap concealed carry gun they’re looking to get rid of let me know.
I have a Tarus .380 and some pine tree air fresheners for sale. Their s steal!

Too soon?

Yes. 30 minutes too soon. I came down here to post the same thing!

Parents house got hit a few years ago. Pretty sure it was the contractor that remodeled their bathroom. Only things stolen were a S&W 357, ruger 22mag, and of course the Walther P38 that my grandfather took off a Nazi officer and brought back, complete with holster, mags everything. All the pistols were in a safe that was bolted to the wall. Ripped it right off the wall. Left watches, ipads, computers, rifles etc.

The good thing that came out of it was that now both my parents have their CCW and my dad carries constantly now. Maybe one day those pistols will turn up...

40 some years ago my "best friend" broke in my house and stole all our guns and coin collection.
we know it was him cause of our german shepard. before he broke in the dog was friends with the guy.
after the break in we were shook up and Dixie could tell something was wrong cause we fussed at her.
guy had the balls to come by a couple days later and the dog would not let him out of his truck.

about 10 years later another "friend" who also worked at my business borrowed my work van to go to lunch.
i thought nothing of it --- went home that afternoon to find the door kicked in and every gun i had
(except the 45 i was carrying ) were gone. he was the only one who knew where i kept my guns.
we know it was him cause the neighbor saw my van at home at lunch that day.

"don't talk to people about your guns" was a hard lesson learned.

Dad bought me a $1000 89' Honda civic that had been wrecked for my 16th birthday. We both took the next couple of weeks, fixed it up, bought some rims and tires for it and made it look halfway decent. 2 months after I got it, I walk outside to go to school to find it not there. Neighbor heard it start up and leave about 3 in the morning and thought that it was me that had gotten in it. I can't prove it but I think my other neighbor set the whole thing up. he was always outside asking me questions about it and one day asked me if I had an alarm on it and like the stupid 16 year old that I was, I said "No"....

When I still lived at home we had our storage building broke into and all out fishing gear stolen along with some tools. Also someone stole our generator from my parents house.
We were working on a neighbors house and left our Hispanic helper who’s worked for my dad since I was little to run to town. He called several times and we didn’t see the calls. So he went to our house. He had Heard a car go
Up our road( only house on the road) and not come back. When he got to the house he found a guy carrying out tools from the basement. He got him three good times with a machete before dude could get back in car and take off. Called the cops and told them it was the car with a machete stuck in the trunk lid. They found him about 6 miles away wrecked and damn near dead. Mom was cleaning a neighbors house and she went in the front door and a guy went out the basement. Apparently he had broken into several houses taking booze. Cops said don’t be doing this without a gun anymore, and next time shoot him.

With work we get stuff stolen all the time. We did a job on the side of the interstate had a storage container, guy had a key to a mini x and used our equipment to rip the door off the container and take all the tools.
Job I just finished had material delivered on Friday, Monday morning the other contractor was missing 3 bundles yes bundles (43-45sheets of plywood) and 5 pieces of 12” 20’ pipe

In college, around 2000 or so, my soft top YJ got broken into and they stole the factory tape deck. This was a factory tape deck that would just pull out of the chassis to prevent theft. THey pulled it out, but didn’t take the chassis.

After graduation, I worked downtown Charlotte. Same YJ. Another guy in the office drove one too. Both parked in the same lot. Both got hit. I just lost some change (I had learned my lesson). Thieves stole a Bible out of his. Cops caught them in another car, same lot. My coworker told the cops to let the SOB keep the Bible, he needed it!

My old YJ got broken into more times than I can count when I was at NC State. I parked offcampus up pass UT(used to be a gravel lot). They would take change, CD's etc. I had a toolbox with a 250pc Craftsman set that they didn't even touch. Always left the doors unlocked because I didn't want them to cut the soft top. Many, many cars got broken into in that lot. There was a lifted Chevy with big rims/tires that was sitting on blocks one day.

Stopped to visit a relative at a beach side bar in Sarasota FL on the way to Sanibel on vacation with a bike rack full of bikes on the truck. Came back to a cut cable lock and a week old bike missing. We rode through the hood in hopes of seeing it and taking it back but no such luck. Not the best start to a vacation.
