I'm not sure of the guy's name, but he drove the blue Stormchaser truck. From what I was told he hurt his lower back after hitting a jump real hard. I saw him being taken away by the ambulance, he seemed ok and was waving, but I wanted to see if he was alright. Heres to ya man.

Anyone have any pictures (or vid) of what happened? seems like every time i went trail riding/ran to the gas station/went to the tent, i missed something. :(

This is what happened:
Jim came around the pond and into the rocky area and went off to the left in the rocks. We got a buggie to come over and pulled him out. He asked if he was still on the clock and he said he wanted to finish even though he was pretty much last place after the yank back on track. When he came around the corner back up the grassy area where the fans were sitting, he hit a jump pretty fast and took a really really hard landing in the dirt. His triple shock set up was pretty stiff and he landed hard. We came over to Jim and I radioed for our on-site Rescue guys to come down to him and check him out. We also had Larry the firechief (our guy running the bobcat) radio to the dispatch. The ambulance was on stand-by and arrive shortly thereafter. Then we let the rescue and fire and ems guys do their job.
Its unfortunate for a veteran racer to come away hurt.
We did see Jim at the awards this morning.

Was the ambulance on site this year? It seems like it took them some time to get there.

Ive got video of when he did the nose dive that ended his run, I just dont know how to upload it from my camera to the computer.

typically you just plug it it via USB cable, then look under My Computer, and it wil lshow up as a drive/folder of some kind.
Look around on that folder, it will be in there, just copy or drap/drop into a folder under My Documents.

Thanks for the input, I went and got a firewire cable today, ive got like 35 minutes total of footage that I got off my camera so far. I will try and see if I cant break it down into sections and get some stuff up.
