I am planning on doing a Straight Axle Swap on my 95 yota. Everyone is telling me that I should use a Dana 44 which by the way im trying to look for a waggy D44 dsd, anyone can help me out. Do I have to go with that or can i go with a diff axle?

You can use a ford D44 or a ford D60 or a custom toy DSD axle. There are a lot of options, just depends on how deep your pockets are as to which one would be best for you.

The good thing about the waggy 44s are that they have the same pattern as the rear, they are about the same width and you can buy parts for them on the cheap. To use the ford D44 you'd have to swap outers or run wheel adapters or swap in a 9" rear with the d44, it would just cost you some more cash.

I've got a waggy / j10 D44 i'm trying to sell. It needs to be reassembled and brakes. has good looking Super winch hubs

You have some reading to do. Check out some of the Toy forums and find a good SAS thread, that will answer many of your questions.

There is only 1 thing that is always true......There are ALWAYS more than one way to do something, steering, brakes, springs, shocks, D-shafts, T-Case, etc, etc...

do you have a tacoma or toyota pickup...if a pickup you will most likely want a passenger side drop axle because thats what side your stock transfer case is on...

was gonna be my exact question. If you have a pickup (not a tacoma), the 80-85 toy front axle works the best.
