just warning you guys not to attend any straightdiesel or farmington events, you will waste alot of time and money like we did last night, imagine a truck pull without a sled, yea who would a thunk it
not me,anyways no refund and no truck pull!!!!!

Farmington is nationally renowned for it's 1/8mi strip. It's a good facility, although could be run a little better. It's not set up for diesel pulls, though. Sounds like it was a problem on the part of the promoter who set up the event at Farmington.

farmington took in over $30k last night advertised a truck pull and didn't have one no refunds bottom line.crooks in my opinion.
nationally renowned for what,1st i have ever heard.

I've been there for several drag events back in the 90's. Always had a good crowd with lots of cars nice track and good racing.

I haven't been there in a while but it does sound like a promoter issue. When a facility rents out their grounds to a circuit or event they don't always have control over what happens. Not dissimilar to Rock Corps hosting a ECORS race. ECORS is responsible for track lay out, cost of entry, race pay out and all the responsibility that goes along with it.

I'm not saying Farmington was right or wrong, just that they may not be 100% at fault. Sounds more like a Straight Diesel issue.

I will be blocking the entrance next year until they let me in for free... I loved how they were asking for a welder at the start line acting like it was for a competitor, not for the sled. I figured it was for the sled all along. Some of the mud runs were ok, but i didnt spend $30 to get in to watch mud runs. Best part of the night was watching a drunk guy get knocked out right before we left.

i take some what of offense to this post ...there was also a mud race as advertised and was ran buy me which went well and was a very good show ..maybe instead of telling half of the story you may although to give some credit where it is due....just sayin....

mud hole didn't look like much of a challenge to me,only 1 truck made it through last year.but yes it was a good mud bog no complaints there.

The mud run was fine, but not what I paid to go watch. The only vehicles 'worth' watching run the mudpit at the big motor/big tire guys. They should have let guys run the mudpit as many times as they wanted to take up some time. Even that would have been boring, but better than one truck running the pit every 5-10 minutes...

well kinda glad to didnt go to it this time, but what exactly happened to the sled?....just no sled at all or it was having problems?....i remember one time there last year the sled kept overheating and it put the schedule far behind for the sled pull

be glad u didn't go,pull was supposed to start at 6.
sled showed up finally at 8:30.then it was broke and not used at least till i left at 11.the guys just walked around it and basically didn't even try to fix ,saying they need a welder for 2 hours or more,.i will not be back.

Yeah, the track gets a lot of big names that come there to test. It's a nicely run DRAG STRIP.

I equate this to going to watch monster trucks in a basketball arena. It's not the general purpose of the facility or staff to host such things. So don't go & spend your $$ & expect to be blown away with a well planned event. Look for an established event. You may have to drive a while, but it will be worth it & will probably pull in (no pun intended) better competitors as well.

Word. After driving 4 hours to watch Monster Jam at RBC (PNC Arena), I won't make that mistake again.

Guess its good I didn't go, I wonder why it was 30 bucks to get in. What made it so special? Peachland had both and was only 10.
