Well I finally broke down and got the wife a TJ wrangler like she's been wanting and it won't be long it will need new tires. It has 33s on it now. I've never been a fan of driving a vehicle on the road with aggressive tires but this jeep wouldn't look right with straight tread tires.
What I'm asking is opinions on a good street able aggressive tire. I would consider a more aggressive a/t also.
The jeep is a four banger/5 speed should I consider going to 35s? Its pretty weak as it is.

Here it is

I run nitto trail grapplers on my dodge. They are pretty darn smooth for the aggressive tread patter.

I'm thinking maybe the MTR kevelars. Now to go price them lol.
Its on 33 s now and does alright the way its geared. Weaker than pond water but its just an around town beater for my wife.

I own about a dozen JK BFG MT take-offs. Always looking for deals on more of them. Can't beat it for the price.

The 2.5L makes more power than a stock 258. ;)

But the 258 probably makes 90hp at 2500rpms, whereas the 2.5 probably doesn't eclipse 90hp until at least 4k rpms. :driver:

For the price the goodyear duratracs have a great offroad look but awesome manners.
Similar to those but only at walmart is some aggresive looking Wrangler Authorities. We ran some on a tj rubicon I got my wife and for what she wanted they were perfect. Great street manners, good looks, and good bad weather and traction for mild wheeling she did. Max size on those is 31 I think though which is why I mentioned duratracs 1st. Below is a quote from a jeep forum about the authorities. It was reviews like this one that made us try them.

Just checked they actually offer them up to a 34 equivalent in 315/75/16.

I run them on my rig as well and I have to say im very happy, they did great for me in the snow and mud so far and have had them for about 7k and they still look new.very little road noise for as aggressive as they look.
