Easy there...NC4x4 has been a little sensitive the last couple days, it could be a legitimate affliction...you don't know until you walk in their shoes. :jerkoff motion:

But in all seriousness...isn't 'me too' just a reboot or subsection of 'mob mentality'??? Ya know, peer pressure parents have been battling against and been saying 'if your friends jump off a bridge, are you going to too' for centuries. Whether it's drugs or mullets or pregnancy pacts or now transgender identification, kids have been justifying what they do via what their friends do since the beginning of time. Along the way, society becomes numb to one outbreak and it just pushes the line even further to create any kind of shock value. Those kids grow up, that becomes the norm, their kids learn that behavior and take it to the next level and it becomes a cycle of products of their environment.

Yeap, facts dont lie. You are what your DNA says you are.

The only two influential elements of any statistical significance in a child's development are their genetics/biological makeup and their peer group. Parenting doesn't really rank, except to the extent that parents can shape the child's peer group.

I agree, progressive thinking is a bunch of b.s.

People being "sensitive " to the problems of society they aren't intelligent enough to empathize with is a joke.

I would suggest we bring back slavery, but that's stupid. Segregation is a very sensible middle ground, as I cant imagine why anyone a different race than I would feel entitled to the same freedom of choices as I enjoy.

After all, they are, feel, look, and want to be different than me....

Interesting. Haven't read that and it's surprising though not totally. We all know fuckups from great families and success stories from fuckups so plausible.

Link to article/study/source you reference?
No troll legit interested

I can't find the article now, one of those rabbit holes where you follow link after link after link. Anyway, I came to a psychology website that linked fight or flight (or freeze) and natural selection. Basically saying, the reason we have such disparity with the 'me too' culture is because as a society we've ultimately reintroduced the 'freeze' portion of the equation, relegating independent thought and survival among the 'freeze' population useless. With the lack of any 'Great' outbreaks/wars/depressions, the 'freeze' population has been allowed to survive and not be culled from the herd. Personally, I thought the explanation was a bit weak and eluded to the Purge movies...but I understood the sentiment.

The problem started when they installed stop signs on the side of school buses .Before that the dumb kids got run over.

Nothing new under the sun. This has all happened before in history and we are like an 8 track just looping around playying the same songs over a stretch of time.

So gender reassignment surgery has been a thing?

Obviously technology has allowed this to be a recent development, but gender confused people have been "a thing" quite a long time. It's acceptance has ranged from one extreme to another.

I feel like corporate america in aiding in the popularity with clubs and events sponsored by the companies. I feel like you should go to work do your job and do whatever you want on the weekends. but I have a problem with companies sponsoring certain events and denying others. (equal opportunity employer.. hmmmm)

I can't tell you how many times this year I've read about how my company has the #1 diversity council in America (WTF does that mean anyway?). It's like they don't even realize what we actually do is make a product and provide a service in exchange for payment, and all these pet projects that detract from that purpose simply erode the profit.
