Gotta head to a wedding down there for the 3rd of January. We'll be coming into town on the 2nd sometime. What all is there to do down there? Any beach 4wheeling close by? Camping on the beach anywhere close?

Girlfriends car is pretty unreliable, so I gotta bring my Jeep either way, and I really want to take it out on the beach again!

take her to Dennis Anderson's shop...it's on 158 (Grandy area) right before the beach.

where will you be in Elizabeth City? you'll still be about 40 minutes from the beach, especially if you want to go ON the beach with your Jeep. AFAIK, you can still drive onto Oregon Inlet, which is on the OTHER side of the beach (Kitty Hawk) from Elizabeth City.

well there will be a Golden Corral beside ya and a Ruby Tuesday at the corner...so that'll cover your dining.

The only legal wheeling is to go to Corrolla or Oregon Inlet and its about an hour and a half to either of the beach access points . Its fun and there are some cool things to see , but theres not a lot else local .

Does that mean the area south of the Hattaras/Okrakoke Ferry (in Hattaras) is closed now too? That's one spot that was off of most people's radars in the past.

Just got back from a week long trip down there to see my buddy (coastguard) mikiecoastie on here. Thats a really boring place. No wheeling there except for some local mud. Every thing is flat...very flat

so damn true...

lol...I was trying to avoid letting him in on the secret, Corey:lol:
