I’ve got a few stumps in the yard I need removed or ground down or whatever it is you do with them to get them out of the way. I’ve seen where you can rent the machine to do it but I have no idea how those things work, is it something I could figure out or is that best to pay someone to tackle. There’s at least 4 I need to get rid of maybe 8-10” in diameter

Give Evan a call he's my neighbor and is in Concord.

not to take business away but the machine I've rented twice was very easy to use. much easier than I imagined. I was able to take out quite a few stumps in one day. I rented it on a Saturday and returned it on a Monday. If you've got a friend with stumps you two can split the cost. that's what I did.

I had a 4’ pine stump and 20’ away a 3’ pine stump. I had had them taken down by a climber a few weeks before and handled the cleanup myself. Huge huge trees.

I was planning to get them ground …sometime. A dude knocks on my door one afternoon and tells me he’s going around grinding stumps while in town staying with family.

He says he could do both stumps for me that afternoon. I ask his price, he says $125!

I tell him to get to work. He did a perfect job and did a small dogwood stump for me as well for the princely sum of $10. I’ll never get that lucky again.

The machine looked brand new and moved by itself with a remote control.

It is a stupid simple machine to run and it only takes 15 minutes for a flush cut 20” diameter stump. I had a 25” stump 6” above grade and got the entire thing done is 35 mins. I late my 17yo stepson run it most of the day and he knocked them out just fine.

I would say less than 10 stumps to grind pay the man. More than that rent the machine.
