What they said, best of my knowledge it goes the same for pretty much every differential.

If you're ever worried about it being low, you should be able to remove the fill plug, and be able to feel oil within the first knuckle of your finger.

Buy a gallon jug then 1 or 2 extra quarts and a pump, much easier then tryin to poor it in.

another dumb question...were the axles installed on the Jeep when they were regeared? If they were, whoever did the work should have filled the diffs up.

yeah im just changing the fluid like they told me to. i wanted to put the lucas fluid in there because i use it in the engine and its way expensive. By the By i have the manual for my jeeps thanks! it dousnt tell the amount in it that i can find just the fluid weight. thanks for all the answers to my Q. the only reason i called it a stupid one is because i use to be on webwheeling and those guys would laught at a Q like that! so thanks a ton!

ok, to you slravene, when has someone told you to jb weld a head and it accually work. i dont mean everyone on the site, but there was a few. just because i have a 4 banger im not worthy of some other peoples responses. to those i Q there response. to the others i thank with much gratitude. these sites are for those who need help and those who can give help. most people on these sites i have learned so much from and im still learning from. to those people that i do not know but still look up to. everybody has to learn from sombody and you guys as long as you take a serious stride i would be honered to learn from you. if i offended anyone im sorry not the intention, this is not the reason for the tread.
