OK. 1st the story. TJ had about 101000 miles on it. i did some offroading and did alot of high revving that nite. the next morning i went to start up the jeep. ran about 10 secs then pop. oil running down the drive way. after inspection. The oil filter blew, cause oil pump had junk in it to cause the pump to stick open making a crap ton of pressure. After new pump and a good low end cleaning. replaced it and after the replacement, i had the most slightest tick. barely anything and cause it is a 4.0 never though twice about it. 3 months later another morning got into the jeep. started it and i noticed that ticking sound considerably got louder. now i hate to take it over 2000rpms because it sounds so bad. oil pressure is great, and still have the same power as before.
I will be taking off the valve cover this week to see if anything looks bad. I have read many post and there are alot of web mechanics on here but i never get a end result on what i read.

could anyone shine some light on this?

Oh Jeep ran with the lite tick from 101000 miles up to 105000. Did a long road trip to put that many miles on it so quick

collapsed lifter most likely, bent push rod or rocker arm if you're lucky

no. stays the same. I have been thinking maybe a rocker by the way it sounds
It just sucks because i just bought this jeep not so long ago.
