Suburban quirk

I could probably take the tranny out of his burban, and put a new one in in the amount of time it takes to get the tank down, if you plan to re-use the tank....

True.
The best way I have found is to use a couple ratchet straps hooked to the frame to lower/raise the tank. Still not easy but you aint gotta worry about that big tanks sliping off the jack when your working with the hoses.

Well Ive never dropped a tank on a 4x4. I did on my ol 90 Honda but that was a small tank. So I figure this would be a good experience and a way to help out a friend. So if you come to the Wylie area Andrew let me know. It will be a good way for you to burn out some gas on the ride as well :)

I was looking through the maintenance records and there is a $34.95 ignition...so...he had the ignition switch replaced I guess...anything you could do wrong on an install of it to make it not crank 1 time?

Since I am getting it back tomorrow night, I am back to troubleshooting...though it hasn't done it since the 1 time.

bad gas is probly wishful thinking

well, almost 400 miles driven since the incident and nada...and those 400 miles involved a bunch of starts and stops...

so wishful thinking..it is all i got

I can't really afford to start swapping out parts at random...doing that is also "wishful thinking"

I agree...I wwould change anything until you know its the problem..

Hell it may have been a fluke,,,I wouldnt bet on it, but maybe. At worst the real culprit will take a while to show up...

You are expecting it, it ain't gonna happen

relax about it, and have to count on it to get somewhere important or timely, it'll puke.

thats the way it works
