suckdown winch with leafs?

Im thinking about running my winch to the front axle to help with climbing. This is on a cj so the winch is located a lil foward of the pumpkin. Anyone else done this with front leaf springs?
 
I had researched that before and its been done quite a few different ways. You can get it to work just as it would with a link setup, you may need to through a pulley or over a bar to get the effective angle from what I've seen. Or just say screw it like me and link the front:flipoff2:

trust me.....id love to have it linked, but thats not in the budget right now. Hopefully ill beat this cj frame beyond submission and start on a yj framed buggy someday to link.

Im gonna try to get the winch off this weekend and see what ive got to work with. It may be more trouble than its worth.
