Yeah... seems like it. All I ask is to get healed up over the winter, and some nice weather in the spring so I can go fishing & camping. Wish me luck guys!
I haven't updated this thread for a while as there just wasn't much to tell. So..... I go back to the Doc this morning (six weeks), and I get a very nice, unexpected surprise. I have been released... completely! The Doc, and his assistant, both said I have healed and recovered much quicker, and better, than they had expected. Therefore, they were releasing me, and there was no need for any further followup office visits, or therapy. I do need to be aware that I now have limitations as to what I can, and cannot do, but if I listen to what my body is telling me, and pay attention to what I am doing I should be just fine. The only real recommendation was that I slowly work my way up to lifting 25 lbs, then beyond that, pay close attention to what my body is telling me. The bottom line is that I can screw things up again (badly) if I allow myself to be stupid about what I do, and how I go about doing it. Today has been a very good day!
And I thought you were gonna say you were pregnant!
My experience; when lifting anything, even leaning over to pick up a styrofoam cup. Keep your back straight! I know you've probably heard that many times over the years, but do heed that warning. I'll say it again. Keep your spine straight. Lift with your legs!
That goes for young guys too or you'll end up with back surgery as well.
I feel your pain too & you are in my prayers. I have been suffering back pain for 4 years & even worse pain in my right hip for 2 years now. I'm glad you are in recovery because they have not been able to figure out the cause of mine yet & I have been to 8 different doctors. After the 1st of the year I am going to try to see a neurosurgeon to see if they can find any nerve damage & if not just deaden the nerves so I can not be in pain 24/7 & get some good sleep.
