Well, I've been slowly working on the buggy. Slowly but surely it is getting done.

I will be ready to start wiring it in about a month or so. So....

Anyone have any decent experience or preferences for a fuse pannel or wiring harness?

As of now, I'm looking into just getting a 10 or 12 circuit fuse pannel and run the wires like I want. Before I spend the $$$, I'd like to see what everyone else's experiences are

This is more of a budget buggy, so I'm not really into spending the extra $$$ for a Painless kit as they seem to be overpriced and have more than I really need.

Run your own wires and pirate the fuse block out of the vehicle of your choice. I have a '87 YJ fuse block with alot of wiring that I'll take $20 for if you want to go this route.

yes, I am expecting to run my own wires. I really wasn't thinking of a complete harness because most of the wiring is labeled and most of the labels are for items that I won't have. I won't be running turn signals, AC, wipers, etc. But, all options are being considered as a complete generic harness just may be the easiest way to go...

Any kind of basic fuse panel will work fine (preferably sealed). Just figure out how many circuits you will need. I would also consider getting a fuse panel that will give you both battery and ignition hot circuits.

seabass of pirate sells some switch panels, i think they have fuses already there. not sure what set up your unning but a panel with 3, 4 switches with fuses is all you need, add a relay or 2 and your own wire your looking at less than a $100 bucks

this is prob. the way I will go. He seems to have great stuff at an affordable price. I don't need the complete harness with wires, blinker relays, horn relays, etc. etc. etc...

plus the one on ebay thats just a box now you have to run wires to switches back to components, and it has like a million fuses which is great if you have internal lights, blower motor radion ect. ect ect, but i am sure you are just trying to power up the motor and run a electric fan maybe some rock lights, with a fused switch panel i think it is cleaner less wiring ect. i think summit sells them as well but i rather spend money with a little guy trying to make a living making cool stuff.
