Summer music playlist?

I pretty much just play every song I've ever bought on loop. If I'm not feeling a particular song...next. With 5,000-ish songs though, I rarely have the opportunity to get bored with a song. And the only appropriate way to listen to said music, is blasting so loud, there's no chance at holding a conversation...or with ear buds in, also so there's no chance of having a conversation. Pretty much...I listen to music so I don't have to talk to other people.

Probably anything Tom Petty but especially anything from 'Highway Companion' or 'Full Moon Fever'. Lots of Guardians of the Galaxy Awesome Mix type stuff. Bob Marley and the Wailers, Jimmy Cliff, Sublime...

We spent a week at the beach listening to my brother's playlist and it had entirely too much (read: any) shit country and self-referential 'beach' music. The best of it was from 'The Harder They Come' soundtrack and some Willie and Waylon.

What kinda beaches we talking about? The fresh ones or the salty kind? (Giggidy).
I can break it down into about 16 different genres, or 4 for simplicity. Depends on where I'm at or who I'm around.

This is my 6.5hr random beach playlist, it’s definitely random lol. Mostly “reggae rock”. I have no problem doing nothing and falling asleep to any song on it

#98&99, Stick figure.... Yes!! :smokin:

Real east coast beach music always works.
The Drifters, the Temptations, The Four Tops, Lou Rawls, etc.
Even the "newer" ones like Band of Oz, the Coasters, the Embers, etc.
Mr. Beach himself ...... Jimmy Buffet, but then again, I listen to him all the time.
50s & 60s oldies are good for summer sun top off days also.
The Beach Boys ... yeah I know, but Man, I love their music.
