Superbirds -- pair of 'em on ebay (separate listings)

That is a super rare find for sure. Although the newer plate that was on the white one, makes me think it hasnt been sitting in storage for all these years. If the original owner was a mopar guy, the current seller paid through the nose for them.

Someday I hope I can buy a car at auction for $187,000 then turn around and buy 2 more just because...

I love how he is like "I had them hauled to my island vacation home in Maine" just to say he has an island vacation home in Maine.

Am I the only one triggered by this dude repeatedly referring to a garage as a barn?

Am I the only one who appreciates the cars but also think they are ugly a crap, and we'll over priced.

No not the only one. For garage "Barn" kept the blue one seems overly crusty underneath, I just don't see that kind of money in a car like that.

Well, it was in Maine and did spend a few years on the road there. One year is enough to beat on a car up there.

I agree they bring crazy prices. The rarity is what drives the price. They were an expensive car new, and therefore many of the few that were made never sold, and were converted back to standard roadrunners. They werent Yenko expensive, nor are today either. These 2 cars were the cheapest/least desirable of the options on a super bird.

I actually saw a column shifted Superbird before I'm pretty sure. I think it had the 383 too. I might be wrong though and it may have been a Charger Daytona, but it definitely was a column shift auto.

EDIT - found it. It was a 440 Super Commander, but did have a column shift. 1970 Plymouth Superbird - Mangy Old ’Bird
