Need some help. I have a 5.0 efi powered yj on tons 5.13 gearing locked sitting on 40's. Do a lot of hill climbs trail riding and occasionally rocks. Ready to link coilover suspension and wanted some advice weather or not to supercharge the powerplant. Would pros out weigh the cons or am I just wasting time? Vortech v-1( dirt cheap)

That is a good sized centrifugal for making decent power and not having to rev too high to get it. As long as you can afford the fuel, fuel system and tune that are going to have to go along with it...there are really no cons. (assuming you have a decent radiator too). Next weak link will be your trans, tcase, and that 5.0 that is prone to splitting in half. Just limit it to sub-10psi and you'll have a reliable lightweight LS killer.
As said though, expect at least another $500+ for fuel pump, lines, injectors, maf and another 300-800 for tuning with a supercharger that size.

What ^ said. The only cons to a supercharger are the money it takes to get everything else right, and the decreased reliability because you will drive it like you stole it.

Ahh, well that clutch will probably die early then.
