We went Wednesday afternoon for a ride of all the trails in both directions, after hitting the first few water breaks I had to stop and adjust my bikes suspension for them. Looks like they pushed them up a lot taller than they were, first couple I hit wide open launched me 15 to 20 feet in the air a little surprising to say the least. If you're going down there this weekend in a stockish vehicle beware, you will drag your belly across all of them, but thanks in advance for cutting them down! If you're on a bike or quad you either need to hit them with speed or roll over them or you will go over the bars.

Taking my bike there next week. Thanks for the heads up.

There is no Supercross race this weekend. Maybe I should go down to Uwharrie and pull up a chair.:)

Go ahead and do it Danny, you can see me do my best Jake Weimer impression.

Too soon?

LOL, that poor guy. Trey too, there was nothing he could do. I'd put $100 on Jake retiring after this season if he comes back at all. Little story on him if you didn't know that I caught on one of those behind the scenes shows. His dad literally bet the farm (sold the family farm) to finance Jake racing amatuers. When Jake made it as a pro and started making $$$,$$$, he bought his dad another farm and therefore insured that he himself would have a life after motorcycle racing. Smart kid.

That is pretty cool. I didn't know that part of the deal. I do agree I can see him retiring, IMO he just doesn't have it like he used to anymore and is holding a spot on a factory team for an up and comer, either a 450 privateer or a factory 250 racer that is moving up, that deserves the shot.

Yeah wash outs made trail riding on Thursday a Lil more annoying then usual.
But had a damn good time being out there for first time in a year n half !

Thanks for everyone that is maintaining the trails on their own time especially the three guys I saw out there on opening day work in their asses off

I scraped the top off several today. Had to pull a guy in a Chevy longbed pickup off one; he got high centered on it. Tried to talk him out of continuing on towards the switchback but heard later from someone else that he was hung up again later.

Seen a ton of rigs coming back through asheboro this afternoon, musta had a good turn out today!!
