"North Carolina law also prohibits any person carrying a gun, rifle, or pistol into any
assembly where a fee has been charged for admission or into any establishment where alcoholic
beverages are both sold and consumed."

If you're paying admission to get in, you're not supposed to be carrying concealed to begin with - we learned that in the CCP class.

You need a refresher class then...the law has changed.

You can't just quote a PIECE of the law, and call it the law.

Exception "d" right under the line you quoted says:

A person carrying a concealed handgun if the person has a valid concealed
handgun permit or is exempt from obtaining a permit pursuant to G.S. § 14-
415.25. Note: this allowance does not allow a person to carry a handgun on any
premises where the person in legal possession or control has posted a notice
prohibiting the carrying of a firearm on the premises, nor does it allow the
permittee to consume alcohol while carrying a handgun.

Posting doesn't carry weight here, because it is public, state-owned property. Here is the restriction for state property:

3. State Buildings

It is also unlawful under State law, for any person to possess or carry a weapon not used for
instructional or officially sanctioned ceremonial purposes, in the State Capitol Building,
Executive Mansion, Western Residence of the Governor, or on the grounds of these buildings,including any building used to
house any court of the General Court of Justice. Possessing orcarrying a weapon in these areas is a misdemeanor.

This info from the SAME document you linked.

I learned that law was changed a couple years back, in my CCP class..

Thanks for posting that.

@kaiser715 are you stating that one can now carry concealed into a place that charges admission fees to enter? That is all I was referring to. I don't quite know what you are arguing-

The document I linked was last modified 9/2014, and I figured posting the applicable excerpt was a bit more appropriate than copy-pasting the entire document into a reply box.

5. Any law enforcement agency or correctional facility;
6. Areas housing only State or federal offices;
7. An office of the State or federal government that is not located in a
building exclusively occupied by the State or federal government;
8. Any premises where notice that carrying a concealed handgun is
prohibited by the posting of a conspicuous notice, or statement by the
person in legal possession or control of the premises; or
9. School grounds under G.S. § 14-269.2, except permittees can secure their
handguns in their vehicle on school grounds. (Note: Private schools
reserve the right to prohibit firearms altogether.)

Permittees are specifically allowed to carry a concealed handgun in the following areas:

1. Premises where alcoholic beverages are sold and consumed unless the
premises is posted to prohibit the possession or carrying of firearms. Of
course, the permittee may not consume any alcohol while carrying in this
area. N.C. Gen. Stat. § 14-269.3;
2. Premises where a fee is charged for admission unless the premises is
posted to prohibit the possession or carrying of firearms. N.C. Gen. Stat. §
