Some of you know that my wife has been ill for some time. Tomorrow morning is supposed to be her final surgery. We are hoping for a full, quick and pain free recovery so that she may get back to living life like she did before this started all those years ago. Thanks to everyone who has been there for us over the years.

Prayers and Best Wishes for a successful procedure and speedy recovery!

We've never really broadcasted it but she has been sick since 2/04 with an intestinal disease and hopefully reaching the end of her anguish. She falls into the 1% that nothing seems to work, so after all these years of trying different treatments things finally escalated to major surgery. This will be her third surgery since October. I just wanted to give those out there who knew an update since I don't get the opportunity to see/talk to a lot of folks except here or on the trails.

I know you all will be glad when this is finally over. Wishing for a speedy recovery and lets all pray that its the last surgery!

Just talked to her, she is in a lot of pain right now but the docs are upping the pain meds. The doc said everything went well, so now she just needs to recover from this surgery and get off the post surgery steroids and hopefully she will start getting back to normal.
Thanks to everyone for their support.

Mother in Law who is very close, Takes care of our two boys during the day, had to under go a lung transplant about six months ago. Her and her husband only live a few miles down the road, so we were very involved. It was amazing the difference after the surgery. She is 100% recovered now, Well she will tell you that.

Just thought It help let you know it gets better with time. Hope she has a quick recovery.

thinking about you guys. hoping for a fast, full recovery.

Prayers and thoughts, take care.

Hope this all works out for you and yours. We'll keep ya'll in our thoughts and prayers

Thanks again for everyone's thoughts and prayers.

Well things are looking good as of now. She had a little fever Monday night but it seems to have dissipated now. She was up out of bed a little yesterday. The docs hope to get her off IV meds today, out and walking around. She started a clear diet yesterday and maybe some real food tonight. If all this continues to go well she may come home tomorrow. She still has a lot of recovery to do while her body readjusts from surgery but hopefully it will be quicker than we expect.

Update

Well, she's still at UNC. She is eating a regular diet, up and walking and everything else but they can't get her pain under control. She's on enough stuff to put an elephant into a coma and it's like she's taking sugar pills. If it weren't for the pain, we think, she would have been home last week. Maybe tomorrow.

After more than two weeks she's coming home today:bounce2::bounce2:, actually as I type, my mother-in-law has gone to get her. She still has a lot of recovery to do but hopefully the hardest part is over.
Thanks to everyone's support, thoughts and prayers.
