It's that time again! The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure will be held at Lenoir Rhyne University Oct 15th. This will be our 3rd year participating in this awesome event! Unfortunately we all have been affected by this disease someway somehow. Our family included, in which my mom Deanna (PinkyXJ) and my aunt are both survivors! Come join or donate to "Team Big Dixie Boobies" and help find a cure! We usually do the one mile fun run/walk so everyone can participate but feel free to do the 5k!

Have a ride that same day, but I can do this and still make the ride, so, Leslie and I are walking too!
 
Sooo excited about the walk again and thanks to Chip & Leslie gonna walk....yay.

Also thanks to Mike Yager and his wife for a very generous donation!!

This really is for a GREAT cause.

We need more donations to reach our goal, please support us if you can!!!!
 
A very busy weekend at work, but I did manage to get a few donations, and SEVERAL others that said they will. So far, I have $60 toward my personal goal!

***UPDATE***Just got info that the DEADLINE to register online for the walk/run is on SEPTEMBER 26TH for $20.00.

You can still walk with us just have to register on race day and will cost more.

Also if you register online to walk and want a team shirt, need ur size.
DEADLINE on shirt order is SEPTEMBER 29TH....Or you can still walk with us just no team shirt if not ordered by the deadline.

I reached my goal yesterday, actually, exceeded it! But now, I have up-ed it, many more donations to collect!
 
The Prices (Chip & Leslie) are AWESOME....You know you win things based on the amounts you raise also. And we can enter our team shirt for best shirt design, we get a trophy! We get a team photo too. It is soooo much fun, but can break your heart seeing so many sick women doing all they can to b there! I love it, a great organization!
 
I'm in for sure and so is my roomate. My gf is also going to do it if she can get off work.

Also, the DEADLINE for online registration is THIS MONDAY Sept 26th for $20. After Monday you will have to sign up the day of the race and i believe the price is $30.
Lastly, if you would like a team big dixie boobies tshirt we will need the money and your shirt size by SEPT 26th as well! If you would like just send me your shirt size and either meet with me to collect money, or send my mom (Deanna Poplin) a check to PO Box 755 Stanley NC 28164. Prices are $8 for S-XL, and $10 XXL-XXXL!
Here is what the shirts will look like, the ribbon in the top left corner will be on the left front chest of the shirt, and the design will be on the back. Only addition will be some pink to the jeep. Shout out to Chris at Exper-Teez in Lincolnton for the shirts!

What did you expect honey? Anytime there are Boobies mentioned you know there will be a lot of interest. Lol. Not sure that I will actually make it to the event but I am damn sure going to try.
