Swap ‘01 2wd cherokee to 4wd

I have a 2001 jeep cherokee want to make the conversion to 4wd and I found in a junkyard apparently a 1995 aw4 transmission with a np 242 transfer case, it would work on my jeep? Help

I don't think so. In 1997 the AW4 NSS and TCU changed.

You need a phase 2 setup.
