what do you need to know? rear is easy just cut off old perches, weld on new ones. front is slightly more difficult. steering is as hard as you want to make it. it had my stock pitman arm reamed out for an FJ80 TRE. i'm running 85 axles with YJs. in the rear, the pinion angle is crucial if you're going to a double cardan driveshaft.

Yeah dude whats up. I'm doing the swap right now. What I've found is that the more money you have the easier it is. There is an aftermarket component manufactured to for every mod you will need to make. I collected all the parts I needed before I even started. I got a power steering kit, an allpro high steer kit, spring perches, ubbolts, diff guards, a rock ram, cj7 leafs, dbl carden shaft, knuckle rebuild kit, and an angle finder. Before I order my gears though I plan to get both axle housings installed with the cj springs just to see what size tires I'll be able to run. I want to run 35's but I'd hate to order 5.29 gears and only be able to run 33's. I've also got about 160' of tubing to do give her a new face, but thats another story.

Just a thought

To make it easier on you Suki guys I would run either a 3 or 4 link set up to eliminate the leaf springs. Buy the shocks instead, this will help you on the RTI scale a great deal. Just thought I would give my input.

i know with stock YJs i can clear 35s with a little trimming on the rear fenders. as mine is right now, on compression in the rear, the 33s rub a little, but then again i have my rear end pushed back about an inch or so.

So Bowtie, what suspension RU running now-we're gonna be runnin 33's on this one. :burnout:

i'm running trailtough's YJ kit with 4 leaf packs all around. to tell you the truth, the rear sits just a little lower than the front (i think the packs in the rear were a little more worn so i might need to add another leaf to them).

I'm running CJ/RUF w/ a SPOA w/ 30s. But I have had 32s on there w/ no problems....34's a bit tight. I'm at about 7.5" tolal lift. You should be able to 33s fine. I'll have 32s when it's finally done.
