Help me with my Chevy trivia. I have a set of early model Chevy flat top knuckles for my high steer. I found a 10 bolt in a 3/4 ton truck with 8 lug hubs and brakes. Will the spindles, caliper brakets, calipers, and rotors swap to my knuckles? I'm thinking that they should, if so do I need to use the matching outer stubs?

Thanks,
Aaron

I used the 1/2 ton stub shafts, but everything else from the knuckle out will be needed to convert to a 3/4 ton set up. I think the calipers were re-usable? Now, I was used a 1/2 ton D44 as the base...not the 10 bolt, but they are VERY similar.

You shouldn't have any trouble.

I'm using a 1/2 ton D44 also, I found an '8? Chevy 3/4 ton with a 10 bolt front. It has the non flat top knuckles, so I will try to fit the spindles out too my knuckles. I was not sure if I could fit the 3/4 brakes to my 1/2 ton knuckles.

This Article may help you some. http://coloradok5.com/8lugconversion.shtml

But the spindels are the same.
The knuckels are the same.
The Backing plates are diffrent.
The rotors are diffrent
Calipers are the same. Everything else you can think of on the axle will work. Pretty much all you have to change is the Hub assembly the rotor and the backing plates.

the chevy stuff will work. the ford 3/4 ton parts are a direct bolt on. the chevy 3/4 ton will work with slight modification. nothing major.
