Your 92 Runner should have what is called ADD, Automatic Differential Disconnect. The hubs will have flat plate drive flanges that the stub alxe splines thru, and there is a small cap over a bolt and washer.
Remove these plates and install your new hubs, they should be 26 spline if I remeber right.
if they are 30 spline, they will not fit, and are for the solid axle hubs which use a 30 count spline.
The spring and nut set up you are inquiring about are also found on the solid axle AUTO LOCKING hubs, which are a pain to remove, and install, and the switch over to manual will require the new flat nuts your kit is refering too.
You DO NOT need these if you have and IFS with ADD drive flanges ( as they already exist), just bolt up the new hub bodies and besure to use the cone washers and the old center bolt.
