SWAY BAR COMPATIBILITY

Hi, Does anyone know if an 08 JK sway bar will work on my 97 tj? The guy at the salvage yard says it will but I wanted to check with you all to make sure.

Front or rear? The front swaybar on a TJ mounts above the frame and I believe the JK front goes through the frame but Im not sure. If it doesnt work, I have a TJ swaybar collecting dust in my garage that I will let go for a decent price.

WHY NOT JUST LEAVE IT OUT ? I HAD A 2000 TJ AND TOOK MINE OUT THE FIRST TIME AT UWHARRIE . I THINK ITS STILL IN THE EX WIFES SHED . SHE PROBABLY DOESNT EVEN KNOW ITS THERE . I NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEM DRIVING ON THE STREET WITHOUT IT . I HAVE DISCOS ON MY XJ AND AM THINKING ABOUT TRYING IT WITH OUT THE FRONT AND REARS . IT SEES MOSTLY STREET TIME . NO ONE TO WHEEL WITH AROUND HERE , SO I DONT GET TO GO NOW .
