Went up daniel yesterday and had a go at this sharkfin of a rock on daniel. Forgot to air down and I think thats the reason I slipped off. Anyone who has been there knows when I slipped off I clicnhed. Video doesnt do justice to the angles.

Woulda helped...

It would help overall but that was just an awful line. The only thing that would get you over that line(hitting the rear diff) is bigger tires. Or more throttle...

are you new to off roading? not being sarcastic...just clearning up some confusion.

^^^ what am I missing. confused as to what just happened.

Good to see that you are out getting some tome behind the wheel. I know you are relatively new to wheelin and it is good that you are asking questions and excited about it. Some people will give ya a hard time about asking certain questions questions, way I see it , you have to ask to know and learn. Hopefully well see ya in Harlan come august.

Went up Daniel twice saturday, hit the same section, but I brought it back to the right, slide around the lower rocks, and then brought it back left once past the big rock you were on.

No sweat. No harm in trying something new, if it doesn't work, back up (very, very carefully) and hit it again a bit differently, with a little more throttle.

Airing down always helps.

Yes I am new to this. This was my second time at uwharrie and went to Harlan ky once. To those who were nice thank you. To those who were tools well, no hard feelings. You obviously feel like you have to make up for some sort of inadequacies...

hmm, somebody's a little defensive. I don't see where anybody was being mean to you. You asked a question in a public forum, did you expect everybody to sugar coat the answer fro you?

there were no ill intentions. this is a tight knit community...we are all friends...and in turn, treat each other as such...and that comes with a lot of sarcasm and hard ribbing. The same guys that give you are hard time...will be the first guys to help you out in a jam.

Its a skateboarding term. My other ill advised habit. No hard feelings on the ribbing. I'm not actually letting what's said here affect my sleep. Once I get more time here I have no doubt ill be up to the same shenanigans.

Sk8 or Die dude.

Airing down would have given you more traction to keep from slipping, but you would have had even less ground clearance. Your vehicle is possibly the best built Jeep from the factory to learn in. I couldn't tell from the video, but did you disconnect your front swaybar? If not, that will help a ton, too.

Another thing is that you were trying to go over rocks with both sides at once off-camber. Probably choosing one to go over and one to slide around would have been a better approach - hard to tell from a Monday Morning Quarterback perspective.
