Sweet Pinzgauer that was on campus

Saw this today and snapped a picture of it. Whoever did the tube on the exo did a clean job with the design and all. I don't really know anything about Pinzgauers, but this one looked cool. Anyways, here it is:

Yeah, behind Greer if you're facing the building. Same difference. Macdaddy, i'm surprised I haven't seen your TJ around campus. Do you park on campus?

Im the only vehicle in Boone still sporting an ATO sticker.

Ive also got Warn Rocksliders on the Jeep with the W's painted red...havent seen anyone with that yet either.
 
ive been in that truck. It was in nashville a while back for FLUGTAG. If you dont know what flugtag is, look it up. my cousin was a pilot in flugtag and i was on the crew of 4. There were 900,000+ people there at the waterfront. I STILL have tons of red bull left that we got for free. They gave us cases and cases of the stuff. It was a fun event, we are trying to get accepted to do it again, and we are friends now with some redbull people who are going to try and help us get accepted again.
 
Looks like at least 2 different vehicles maybe 3.
The one in Boone has shiny wheels and the side boxes have a bevel.
The first remote one has straigh side boxes and old steel wheels.
The 2nd remote has new side boxes but old wheels

FWIW The local red bull distributor is in or around arden and it is called matador promotion or something similar.

I've been wanting to do that for years. I've been watching tons of those online wishing I was there. Never had the people or the $$$ to put into developing anything for the flugtag. maybe in the next couple of years. Looks like tons of fun!!!!

...Well looks like I have to apply to Red Bull now...

Unfortunately, all the cans will be uncarbonated and the truck will be full of mud by the time I got done with my deliveries.
 
I am all for doing that again, and the way you do it is to have EVERYONE apply thats interested and whoever gets accepted gets to "pilot" and he then picks a team of 5. My cousin got accepted by designs he submitted on a napkin, not even the right form. We didnt spend much $$$ on this thing at all. (it also didnt fly but that was not our goal) He designed a foam version of the formula 1 race car driven by adriane newey (red bull racer) with really big spoilers on it.

It was worth it, and i have some phone numbers of redbull reps that said they can help me if i want to do it again, and that re-appearances by teams or participants is easier.
