Anyone here do swimming pools ?

Neighbor has an above ground pool that needs a new liner, they would like to install a good quality liner as a replacement, but it seems that as the liner quality goes up with the expected price for quality ) the INSTALL labor goes up as well ( install quotes from pool dealers )

Anyone ?

Next door neighbor does em.
Good guy too. Eventually we're gonna get him to put a pool in for us.
http://www.aquahavenpools.com/ is his company. It's him and another guy. (Scott is my neighbor)
He might still be pricey enough that you want to do it yourself, but not sure. He's cheaper for the pool than the other people we've talked to.

A liner is a DIY job. Actually, if you can follow simple instructions, an entire above ground pool is a DIY job. I've done a few of them, and honestly the new ones are super easy. Very few tools required.

Post this in the tech forum, and you may get more info.

When you see an above ground pool explode, its from the DIY'er who set it up. When I set them up I use laser transponders to get it level and plumb. This way one end isnt deeper than the other. Plus, alot happens or is 'supposed' to happen under the sand for the main integrity for the hull of the pool, experienced aquatic engineers know the tricks of the trade.

But as for liners and the expense of different mil thckness', yes the labor does go up. The thicker the liner, the harder it is to manuever and work out the wrinkles. www.aqua-fortis.com
