Just wondering if anyone could help with a question about a sye kit. Im putting on a 4inch longarm kit and was wondering if i need to put on a sye kit too. i had a 4inch not longarm on my old jeep and never had an sye kit and it seemed fine.
The jeep getten the longarm kit is barely driven maybe 25 miles a week if that. but about once a month i make a 400 mile trip back home from base. Just wanting to get some more advice before i order everything.
thanks

You should be ok if you are reusing the same springs. Given that you don't currently have problems with 4" of lift, there is probably a t-case drop or a motor mount lift already installed, which helps.

i thought the sye kit came with everything needed guess not. im not from the jacksonville area so i got no idea where anything like a junk yard is. the kits going to take 1 to 2 weeks to get here so i got time to look around. if i get one from an xj where can i have it shorten at?

Any driveline shop should be able to do it easily. FWIW, Explorer front shafts work as well and a are a bit more robust.
