t150 transmission

I have a T150 and its driving me crazy. It sometimes doesnt engage into first. but when it does as soon as i let off the gas it pops out. shift fork or syncro?
Everyone told me synchro when the same thing happened to second gear in mine. I didnt really care what it was, I wasnt going to fix it...the time was ripe for a T18 swap

Most likely the synchros. I've had synchro problems in every t150 I've had. Now on to the t-18

Keep an eye out, you can find them. I went thru 2 T-150's before going to the T-18 that I finally installed. I actually found 3 at one time. Rebuilt 2 from the three, and traded one for a cage.
but yes x3 on synchros. they aren't that bad to swap out the synchros if you need to fix it until you can find a T-18. Check with Krage motorsports jeepdoc.com for the parts.
