T18 swap question

Swapping a T18 into my Jeep in place of the T150. The T18 I picked up has the Texas style Dana 20 adapter plate. I thought the bull gear from the T150 would just slide onto the T18 output shaft and be good to go. However, it seems that there is a sleeve or spacer missing.

One pic shows T18 with bull gear positioned where it needs to be with the missing 'spacer', or whatever it needs. Second pic shows T150 with removed bull gear.

Anybody know what I'm missing here?

There should be a spacer between the rear bearing and the transfer case input gear. There should be a seal in the adapter plate that seals on that spacer. It appears your spacer is missing.
