I am about to regear my tacoma with 5.29s and I have a E-locker in the rear from the factory so I am leaving that but my front is the problem. I talked to my buddy at 4 wheel parts and he said the only way I could get true 4 wheel drive is a ARB locker in the front. I thought you could put a limited slip in the front but he said he couldn't find anything but the ARB and I don't know about ya'll but the ARB runs $700+. So I was wondering if anyone had some ideas or has done this. Thanks for the help.

Ready to bite the SAS bullet?

thats not true...you can weld the spider gears, spool it. It wont be road safe but it will do the exact same thing as an ARB, you just wont be able to unlock it.

Edit: do you even have a straight axle in the front?

I don't think I am ready for a SAS and how do I find out more on this lock rite?

FWIW, DC4WD has the ARB locker for $690 or less + free shipping. I have no connection to him other than the fact that I bought my lockers there.
