i was wantin some dimensions and ideas of some rocksliders for a 97 tacoma. my neighbor wants me to build him some but with not havin his truck around its tough

Well for starters you could look here, http://www.trail-gear.com/tacoma trail gear has some pre welded kits made just for Tacomas, you could look at those for ideas. If you decided you wanted to go that route to save some time, I have a set of the 78" for extended cabs or 4 door Tacoma's lying around the shop in my way. PM if you are interested in those.
