Tail light converters

In the process of wiring up my Jeep, I've run across a little snag. Basically I've got a signal for the brakes coming from the prop valve, one for the running lights coming from headlight switch, and turn signal coming from well.... the turn signal. My research has lead me to a 3-2 wire converter box commonly used on trailer applications. I'm using a two wire (plus ground) common LED 4" tail light. A friend suggested I use one thats independently powered which makes sense. As to which one, I think I've figured out what I need but I'm always wanting more input from folks that's done a similar conversion.

This is what I've come up with so far..

Am I going in the right direction here?

Nobody has done this??? I guess I'll have to buy one and see.

What are you actually getting from the turn signal wire? Ditto for the brake switch. Put a meter on them and verify what they're actually doing in both the on and off positions. Make sure they're not shorted to ground in one position or the other.

If you're talking a stock TJ multifunction switch, the brake lamp signal goes through the indicator switch, then to the tail lamps from there.

Mr.Renegade that is exactly what I'm looking for. I went ahead and ordered the curt model of the link I posted.
Everything in the rig is completely stand alone independently powered universal switches and such.

I'll do an in-depth write up on this once I get the converter in.

That's a good one too. Waiting for FedEx to drop mine off so I can get started.
